Google Earth History
1. Google Earth is a virtual globe program that was originally called Earth Viewer and it was and was created by Keyhole, Inc.
2. It has helped to map the earth by superimposition of images obtained from satellite imagery, aerial photography and GIS 3D globe. This is what is called as synergisation of operations.
3. It is available under three different licenses i.e. Google Earth which is a free version with limited functionality followed by Google Earth Plus which is available at $20 per year and also includes additional features and lastly Google Earth Pro which is available at $400 per year and is intended for commercial use.
