FACTS ABOUT GOOGLE EARTH SOFTWARE
1.Google earth viewer software is a very small, compact software having a 12 mb installer.
2.It takes about 7-8 minutes to download on a 256 kb broadband.
3.It requires at least windows xp on P-iii or P-iv machine with minimum 256 MB of Ram.
4.In order to view the imagery from Google Earth web site one requires an internet connection.
5.The area of interest having been viewed once, can be viewed any number of times thereafter offline.
6.As a user, one must ensure that for viewing the imagery of area of interest in good resolution when offline, one must at least view the same image at that resolution once in online mode.
7.Once the imagery data of interest has been downloaded; thereafter, it can be viewed for extracting all relevant information even when offline and thus this info can then be used by the user as desired.
