1.In launching google earth software all the sensitive areas of the world were also mapped and to include even White House.
2.Govenments of numerous countries have expressed their displeasure for the same and google is doing the needful to satisfy the countries.
3.Google blurred White House image and same can be done for all other important installations.
4.India is equally pained as its Rashtrapati Bhavan and Nuclear Installations have been put up on the web to preying eyes of terrorist elements.
5.Google in its defence says that such images are available from 20 different agencies and thus by it putting the same on the net do not infringe any security lapses but in my opinion same donot hold defence as it is bringing the sensitive information free of cost to anti social elements/hawkish countries without any supervision.
6.Let their be responsible conduct from Google by cooperating with all countries and addressing their problems.Through this blog I request Google to remove all the sensitive areas for any country from its Google Earth.

GOOGLE EARTH SOFTWARE
1.The tool of mapping the whole country grain is a powerful tool but it has its pros and cons in terms of mapping each country from their defence point of view.2.Thus google may have to exercise restraint to ensure that the security of any country is not jeopardised due to their actions.

IMAGE DISPLAY PANE:GOOGLE EARTH SOFTWARE
1.Image display pane is most important and prominent pane.
2.Displays image data.
3.Cannot be switched on / off.
4.First seen is the rotating globe - the default view.
5.Globe can be dragged and turned to view areas of interest.
6.Left button to zoom in and right to zoom out. Scroll mouse can be used.
7.Manipulate the view with navigational toolbar.

SEARCH PANE:GOOGLE EARTH SOFTWARE
1.Options: Fly to:Local search-Directions.
2.While online, search can be as generic as on google search website.
3.Methods to search for a place:Name of place, Name should figure in the website database. Eg, sialkot, pakistan. –Typing latitude / longitude of a place; For major locations in the usa, one can carry out a local search or even receive directions from one place to another.

FACTS ABOUT GOOGLE EARTH SOFTWARE
1.Google earth viewer software is a very small, compact software having a 12 mb installer.
2.It takes about 7-8 minutes to download on a 256 kb broadband.
3.It requires at least windows xp on P-iii or P-iv machine with minimum 256 MB of Ram.
4.In order to view the imagery from Google Earth web site one requires an internet connection.
5.The area of interest having been viewed once, can be viewed any number of times thereafter offline.
6.As a user, one must ensure that for viewing the imagery of area of interest in good resolution when offline, one must at least view the same image at that resolution once in online mode.
7.Once the imagery data of interest has been downloaded; thereafter, it can be viewed for extracting all relevant information even when offline and thus this info can then be used by the user as desired.
